A Purely Simple Cremation – £1525

This is a simple, dignified alternative to a traditional funeral. Not everyone wants a formal funeral service and this offers families a chance to say goodbye in their own way with a lower cost alternative farewell, giving you the space and time to organise your own farewell or celebration of life, when you feel ready to do so.

We are a family business and as such, we are here to care for your family, whether the request is for a traditional funeral or a direct cremation.

Your loved one will be brought into our care and looked after here, by us, until the time of the cremation which will take place locally, on a date of our choosing.

Direct cremation is an unattended cremation which usually takes place in the morning when your loved one will be transferred to the crematorium, by us, in a dignified and respectful manner. Our service will provide:

• bringing your loved one into our care, within the Skipton area
• a simple coffin
• all documentation and guidance
• a simple and dignified cremation at a local crematorium
• ashes will be available for collection from us, at a time that suits you

We have found that families, although not wanting a formal service, do appreciate the chance to gather in our Chapel of Rest, for a short time, allowing them to say goodbye in a quiet, private way, and maybe play some of their loved one’s favourite music. You can share memories with family and friends, (we can accommodate up to 30 people,) before their final journey. This service would cost an additional £100 for the use of our Chapel for this special time to say goodbye in your own way.
